Özlem Olgaç Türker has completed B.Arch at İstanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture, İstanbul, Turkey, M.Int.Arch. at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Interior Architecture and Surrounding Design, Ankara, Turkey and PhD. in Architecture at Eastern Mediterranean University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture, Famagusta, North Cyprus. Her research fields are conservation, flexibility, housing, vernacular settlements, cultural tourism.

Dr. Olgaç Türker is one of the founding members of EMU – DAKMAR (Eastern Mediterranean Cultural Heritage Research Center). She is currently a full time instructor in EMU – Department of Interior Architecture and Vice-Dean of Faculty of Architecture in EMU. As a conservation expert, she provides local supervision to four UNDP - PFF supported conservation and appraisal projects in North Cyprus (Agios Panteleimonas Monastery and Famagusta City Walls between Othello, Arsenal, Ravelin Bastion, Martinengo Bastion).
